Welding fittings
Fittings are not always easy to weld on – their often small base offers little contact surface to the workpiece, which makes a stable connection difficult. This tutorial shows a tried-and-tested trick: a targeted application of material first creates sufficient welding surface before the veneer is securely and permanently welded to the PUK.
2. material application
One or two drops of a welding wire of the same type are first applied to reinforce the weld (see also WS 2).
Here we use a welding wire of 0.4 mm thickness, for which approx. 50 % power is used.
