Fixing before soldering
Fixing workpieces with spot welds instead of binding wire or clamps before soldering them has many advantages.
The fixed parts cannot slip under any circumstances and there is no risk of something falling off again when re-soldering.
Connecting special shapes
Even shapes that cannot be bound or clamped can often be joined with spot welds without any problems .
In addition, any number of parts can be joined and then soldered at once.
This saves a lot of time when cleaning the workpiece.
Fixing settings for rectangular stones
Settings for rectangular stones can be easily cut to the correct length by placing the side pieces on the stone and then stapling them.
Fixing claws
Claws can be fixed very well with a spot weld from below.
They can then still be easily aligned at an angle.
They should be easy to clean up later or not be visible at all (e.g. on the inside).
Set up chips
Sometimes it makes sense to first set up chips with the graver and then weld them.
This not only allows you to set the position, the grains also provide additional material that makes welding in difficult positions easier.
Fixing the hinge
In some difficult cases, such as a hinge, a small bridge can also be made from wire, which is then filed down later.
This ensures that the thin edge on the tubular parts is not damaged.
