Welding a bracket to a band
In preparation, if work is to be carried out on the model, the bands should have no contact to the model in the area to be welded. This can be done by waxing out beforehand or by grinding free after model fabrication.
In this way, the risk of damaging the bands during welding can be minimized.
As with all other applications, the components should lie together with as few gaps as possible. If necessary, the contact must be optimized by grinding the parts. Small gaps are not a problem for soldered joints, but they are if the parts are to be welded together. The better the preparation of the parts, the easier the components can be welded afterwards.

Smaller gaps can be bridged and closed to a certain extent without the addition of welding wire, see also the following application example, but it is always better to have good contact between the components.
