Lingual arch welding

From a point of view for welding, this apparatus can be produced quickly, reliably and stably. The prerequisite for this is gap-free bending of the wires to the bands, then the weld is relatively easy to produce.

In preparation for welding, gaps should be created between the bands and the teeth in order to avoid damaging the bands (RPE II/bands). This can be done by waxing out the corresponding areas before casting or by grinding them free directly on the model.

In many cases, the welding parameters used will be between 26 – 40 % welding power and 1 – 2 ms pulse duration, depending on the material thickness of the bands.

If you take the time afterwards to add a welding wire of the same type, ideally with a diameter of approx. 0.25 mm, this can significantly increase the stability of the joint and enable finer finishing of the welded areas.
