Lampert is part of the "Go International - ERDF" funding program
With the “Go International” internationalization programme, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the EU are promoting the development of new foreign markets for small and medium-sized companies. Two Lampert Precision Welding internationalization projects are also being funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
I. Online targeting Switzerland for industrial applications of micro TIG welding
In 2023, the Micro Arc Welder, a new special welding machine for micro TIG welding in industrial applications, was introduced and sold directly in Germany by Lampert’s own employees
To further develop the European market for the Miro Arc Welder, Lampert intends to focus more on online sales with online webinars and subsequent test welding of welding samples in order to be able to scale sales in a commercially sustainable manner. The aim of the online webinar is to simplify initial contact with Lampert and familiarization with micro TIG welding technology, thus enabling potential customers to evaluate and decide on the use of a Lampert welding machine more quickly.
For the Swiss target market, the Micro Arc Welder will be introduced to Swiss customers via Linkedin webinars. The webinar
will include special offers and will also allow interested parties to send welding samples to Lampert in advance and weld or discuss them live in the webinar.
The project is being implemented together with a marketing partner for Linkedin.
II Target customer approach and demonstration of micro TIG welding in the USA
In addition to the expansion in Europe, Lampert plans to tap into the great potential of the US market together with a local US sales partner, a company with expert know-how in both business development and the sale of welding equipment in general. For Lampert Precision Welding, this cooperation is an attractive opportunity to rebuild and restructure sales in the USA and also to use the knowledge gained to develop a targeted expansion strategy and to open up the USA in the long term, both through multi-channel customer contact and by organizing joint demonstration events and trade fair participations.
Lampert considers the potential of the US market for micro TIG welding technology to be very high, as the country is home to a large number of high-tech/space-tech companies with prototype and development work as well as an equally large number of research institutions, and metalworking (especially toolmaking and mechanical engineering) is also a strong economic factor. All of these areas represent proven areas of application for the Lampert Micro Arc Welder.
Our partner will use its network of contacts and local expertise in the USA to develop a market entry strategy and a marketing blueprint. Lampert will contribute its experience from the German market for possible technical applications, target customers and customer approach in order to successfully win customers for the Micro Arc Welder in the USA.
