The difference to other processes is that a <strong>laser<\/strong> is used as the energy source for the welding, the <strong>laser beam<\/strong> of which is focused on the area to be joined. Due to the high energy density of a laser, the metal heats up quickly and precisely and melts at the point hit by the laser beam. After cooling, a permanent welded joint is created. The metallurgical welding process itself therefore hardly differs from alternatives to laser welding, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lampert.info\/en\/welding-principle\/\">micro-pulse arc welding<\/a>, except that the energy used comes from a different energy source. surface is heated to the point of vaporization. The laser beam penetrates deep into the workpiece, creating a cavity with a plasma-like consistency in the form of a keyhole.
